MES Tester (m/f/x)

YOUR MISSION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced MES Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and documenting tests for MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) to ensure quality, performance, and compliance with business requirements and manufacturing standards. This role involves close collaboration with MES developers, business analysts, and production teams to validate system functionality across various stages of production and ensure seamless integration with ERP and shop-floor systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and analyze MES functional requirements and specifications.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for MES applications.
  • Perform system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Validate data accuracy and transaction flow between MES and integrated systems (e.g., ERP, SCADA, PLCs).
  • Report and track defects using standard defect management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, process engineers, QA, production) to resolve issues.
  • Support go-live activities and post-deployment validation in production environments.
  • Document test results and ensure traceability to requirements and specifications.

THIS IS IMPORTANT TO US

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing.
  • Experience with MES platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and shop floor operations.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience validating backend data.
  • Strong understanding of software development and QA methodologies.
  • Experience with test management and bug tracking tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ISTQB or similar QA certification.
  • Experience with automation testing tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
